Mercer's AI Paintbrush tool allows you to edit sections of an image using AI.

Note: The AI Paintbrush tool uses 2 AI Image Generation credits per image generated. Each time you use the AI Paintbrush tool, 4 images are generated, so 8 credits are used.

Step 1: Upload and select the image you'd like to edit, then select the AI Paintbrush tool from the toolbar.

Step 2: Select the region(s) of the image you would like to edit. Using the slider, you can adjust the size of the paintbrush tool to make it easier to select your desired region.

Step 3: Enter a prompt describing how you'd like to edit the image.

• Pro Tip: AI does not yet fully understand negative prompts like “remove”. Instead, try positive prompting - describing what you want the image to look like, rather than what you want removed. For example, if we want to remove the selected zipper from the image, rather than prompting “remove zipper”, we want to prompt “black fabric”.

Step 4: Click “Generate” and select the desired image from the 4 image results. If none of the results are what you’re looking for, you can click “Retry”. Generations generally take about 45 seconds. When you click “Done”, the selected image will be inserted into your design as a new image, and will not replace the original image.
